The placement student's work was of enormous benefit to the organisation and has the potential to influence several key aspects of theBFI’s new five year strategy to 2022. It provides a strong baseline from whichto build future research projects in this field and has engaged BFI staff in this new area of analysis.

 Sean Perkins, British Film Institute

The placement at Nottingham Contemporary provided me with valuable experience of planning a workshop, teaching creative writing in the further education sector and working with a community partner. The placement has given my research impact beyond the immediate academic context.

 Jo Dixon, Nottingham Trent University

My placement with the Brilliant Club was, well, just brilliant!  I spent three months working with the charity and carried out a detailed survey of BC PhD tutors about their teaching experiences.  The results informed recommendations on future recruitment and retention.
